The Great Northern Creative Festival

The Great Northern Creative Festival returns to showcase the creative talent in Media, Film, Photography, Journalism and Performance. The Festival has evolved from a commitment to promote and showcase the creative talent that has been developed at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston and to also introduce to the world the fantastic students and professionals that we have working at the University, whilst opening our doors to the City, to the North and the world beyond. Degree Show (Public view)

As part of the Lancashire Arts Festival, UCLan’s annual Degree Show is once again exhibiting final year student work from the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries across a variety of disciplines, from fine art to fashion to architecture. More

Architecture Degree Show

The architecture exhibitions are set in our architectural studios and showcase both the technical and creative sides of architecture. Expect to see life-sized models, detailed drawings and digital media. More

Design Degree Show

We are excited to announce that the Design courses will be presenting a showcase exhibition of their work in the brand new student social spaces created in Harrington Building. This is the first time Design as a discipline has been able to bring together all the Design courses in a single curated show featuring the very best of the UK’s industry-ready work which includes design focussed portfolios, crafted and laser cut models, printed artwork, illustrations, films, digital slideshows, design scamps, packaging, and computer rendered interiors and products. More

Fashion Degree Show

Explore the full breadth of the fashion industry through the work of over 100 graduating students from our fashion and textiles courses with ground-breaking conceptual collections, industry-standard promotional campaigns, handmade craft textiles, professional image, innovative brand concepts and colourful interior textiles. More

Fine Arts Degree Show

Extensive exhibitions set across three floors showcasing a broad base of traditional and new media including painting, sculpture, print, drawing, artists’ books, sound installation, film and animation. Some artworks will be available for purchase. More

Media Degree Show

Showcasing our students’ creative abilities in film-making for animation and digital design for games through short animated films, games demos, 3D models and galleries of images. More

Photography Degree Show

A selection of work showcasing a diverse range of contemporary photographic working methods and outputs. The exhibition will contain an eclectic mix of traditional and experimental photographic practices. More

Foundation Entry Degree Show

Showcasing the work of students from across 11 different art and design programmes including sculptures, paintings, illustrations, design models, fashion garments, posters and promotional design. More

Degree Show (Private View)

Students from Architecture, Design, Fashion, Fine Art and Media will exhibit their work in various buildings across the campus, launching to the public, in our Private View event. Visitors will have the opportunity to see graduating students bring their work to life, whilst networking with final year students, course tutors and professionals from creative industries. The official opening will take place in the Harrington Building from 6.00pm, following which, you will be free to visit all the Degree Shows, which are installed in different buildings around the campus. More
