The project (A2) is a development of adaptable and affordable modular housing. The aim was to tackle the housing shortage and affordability. The dwellings have been designed as kit homes with minimal internal limitations, allowing the end user to easily adapt their homes to meet their current and future requirements, both internally and externally. Modules can to be added or removed as and when the user requires, and/or when it is financially possible. Careful design consideration ensures the steel frame and panels are not compromised through this adaptation.
Suzi identified a very current issue and has through the use of technology and detailing proposed a scheme that is flexible, adaptable and most importantly affordable – not just to buy, but also to maintain and run.
She has done this while also juggling working, being a great team player and mentoring other students on the course.
