Artist Statement

The Liverpool Biennale dates back to 1999 and is the largest international contemporary art festival in the United Kingdom. Liverpool Biennial 2016 explores fictions, stories and histories, taking viewers on a series of voyages through time and space, drawing on Liverpool’s past, present and future.

Nominator Statement

Jemma showed impressive course progression for her first completed architectural project. The work is significant in that it forms a visual illustration of a universal need for design, showing a pavilion for the Liverpool Festival Gardens featuring the Green House Gallery – Large Parks Global Network for Children.
